Charlotte Virginia Eastes

Charlotte Virginia McClain Eastes, 86, of Louisville, wife of the late Thomas A. Eastes, died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at her home.

She was born in Martin, TN and was a graduate of Louisville Girls High School and the University of Louisville. She was a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church where she was a founding member of the Fidelity Sunday School class.

She was preceded in death by her parents Beulah Mary Arnn McClain Hudkins and Robert Gaither McClain; step-father Edgar F. "Ace" Hudkins; and brothers, John and Charles McClain.

She is survived by her children, Beverly Eastes Jaquith (Louis) of Lexington, Joyce Eastes York (Colin) of Sioux Falls, SD, and Thomas A. Eastes, Jr. of Louisville; a sister, Martha Nell McClain Mulhollan Laweki (John) of IN; sisters-in-law, Virginia McClain Colter, of FL, and Virginia McClain of Louisville; grandchildren, Martha Jaquith George (Alex) of Houston, TX, Kimberly Jaquith Hill (Ryan) and Catherine Jaquith of Lexington, Thomas A. Eastes, III and Lena Eastes of Louisville; and her great-grandson, Logan Thomas Hill of Lexington.
